Made for office lunch, not dinner reviews.
The Al Desko Score is a practical indicator, shown out of 10, that considers five factors. Published information may include editorial scores and separately moderated anonymous rating averages.
Taste
How enjoyable the food is.
Speed
How efficiently the lunch works within a limited break.
Value
What you get for the price.
Desk-friendliness
How manageable it is to eat at a desk, including mess and packaging.
How well it travels
How well the food holds up between collection and the office.
Scores are not guarantees
Scores reflect the information available when a listing is reviewed. Menus, prices, queues and food can change. Where a score has not been verified, Al Desko leaves it blank rather than inventing a value.
How recommendations and rankings work
The map starts with curated listings, then applies your filters and chosen sort order. Al Desko does not sell restaurant placement.
Recommended
The default order considers the available Al Desko Score and practical fit for an office lunch. A high position is not a guarantee and does not imply a commercial relationship.
Your filters change the shortlist
Time, cuisine, price, food type and desk-friendly filters narrow the available venues. “Closest”, “Highest Al Desko Score”, “Lowest queue risk” and “Best value” reorder matching results using the relevant verified listing data.
Incomplete information
Some listings have fields awaiting review. Missing values are not silently estimated, and a venue may be omitted from a comparison when the needed information is unavailable.
Corrections
Restaurant information changes. Please report anything inaccurate. Al Desko may correct errors, update methods or exclude unreliable information to protect the usefulness of the rankings.
